Advanced Lymphatic Care
Lymphoedema & Lipoedema
Not all lymphatic clients are the same.
So why are they often treated the same?
You’ve learned lymphatic drainage…
but not how to treat lymphoedema or lipoedema clients.
Some of the clients who need you most… are the ones therapists feel least confident treating.
Develop a deeper understanding of lymphoedema and lipoedema and learn how to safely support clients living with these complex lymphatic conditions.
This specialist online training has been designed for qualified therapists who already have foundational lymphatic training and want to expand their knowledge and confidence when working with clients affected by these conditions.
Why This Training Matters
This course was created to give you the right kind of information.
Not just how to perform lymphatic drainage but how to understand and support the clients in front of you.
Because this is where so many therapists feel the gap.
In clinic, I kept seeing the same thing: Clients arriving unsure of what was happening in their own bodies.
Using the terms lymphoedema and lipoedema interchangeably.
Sometimes having been told one thing… and then something completely different later.
And therapists—good therapists—wanting to help, but not always feeling confident in what they were looking at.
Because learning a lymphatic drainage technique… is not the same as understanding a lymphatic condition.
By expanding your knowledge in this area, you can provide treatments that are both informed and compassionate, helping clients feel supported throughout their lymphatic health journey.
I’m Carol Anne, therapist, business owner, and lymphatic educator.
I’ve worked across the industry as a therapist, manager, global trainer, and mentor, but it was within my own clinic that this work really evolved.
I began seeing more clients living with complex lymphatic conditions, many unsure what they had, some misdiagnosed, and most looking for real support.
At the same time, I saw therapists who were well trained in technique, but lacked confidence when it came to understanding these conditions in practice.
My clinic grew from just me to a team of five, driven by the demand for skilled lymphatic care.
Most training teaches you how to perform lymphatic drainage
not how to work with the conditions themselves.
This course was created to bridge that gap.

Lymphoedema and lipoedema are two of the most commonly supported conditions in lymphatic therapy.
Yet they’re often:
misunderstood
misidentified
and treated in the same way
When in reality, they are completely different condition with very different presentations and very different treatment approaches.
Most lymphatic drainage training focuses on how to perform the technique.
But very little teaches you:
how to recognise what you’re actually working with
how to adapt based on the condition
or how to confidently support these clients in practice
And that’s where the disconnect happens.
WHY THIS MATTERS
It’s estimated that:
1 in 10 women may be living with lipoedema
400,000–450,000 people in the UK are managing lymphoedema
These aren’t rare cases
These are clients already walking into clinics every single day.
And many of them:
don’t fully understand their condition
have been misdiagnosed or dismissed
or are trying to navigate it on their own
As therapists, we don’t diagnose.
But we do need to recognise, understand, and respond appropriately.
Because the way you approach these clients matters.
This training bridges the gap between:
Knowing how to perform lymphatic drainage
and understanding who you are treating.
Because when your understanding deepens:
your treatments become more intentional
your clinical decisions become clearer
your confidence grows
You stop second guessing. You stop treating every client the same.
And you start working in a way that actually reflects what’s in front of you.
Who This Diploma Is Designed For
This training is designed for qualified therapists and healthcare professionals who already have a foundation in manual lymphatic techniques.
The course may be suitable for:
• manual lymphatic drainage therapists
• massage therapists
• bodywork practitioners
• physiotherapists
• nurses or other healthcare professionals working with lymphatic care
Learners should already hold a qualification in anatomy and physiology or bodywork therapy and a recognised manual lymphatic drainage qualification
Who It May Not Be Right For
This course may not be appropriate for you if:
• You are not already a qualified therapist
• You are looking for a course that teaches manual lymphatic drainage from foundation level
• You are looking for training that qualifies you to diagnose medical conditions
This course provides an introduction to understanding lymphoedema and supporting clients living with lymphatic conditions.
Specialist lymphoedema management, oncology-related lymphatic care and post-surgical lymphatic treatment require additional training and clinical supervision.
Investment
Investment: £280
An investment in deepening your understanding of lymphoedema and lipoedema and strengthening your ability to support clients living with lymphatic conditions.
Specialist education in lymphoedema and lipoedema is rarely explored in depth within standard lymphatic training. Developing this knowledge allows you to approach lymphatic care with greater confidence, awareness and clinical understanding when supporting clients already living with these conditions.
After completing this training, you will have a clearer understanding of lymphatic conditions and the role therapists can play in supporting clients safely and responsibly.
Instead of feeling unsure when a client presents with swelling or suspected lymphatic issues, you will feel more confident in your ability to:
• recognise the key differences between lymphoedema and lipoedema
• understand how these conditions develop
• carry out appropriate consultations and assessments
• adapt lymphatic techniques for sensitive or complex tissues
• support clients with practical home care guidance
• recognise when referral to medical professionals is necessary
You will also develop a deeper appreciation of how therapists can support clients living with lymphatic conditions beyond the treatment room.
Rather than simply performing a technique, you will be able to approach lymphatic care with greater knowledge, confidence and clinical awareness.
